Who are the judges of 'American Idol' Season 22?

Former NFL player Blake Proehl has been selected for the audition round of American Idol Season 22 and fans are loving it. The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver has gained significant traction online following the release of the premiere episode of the singing reality show on Sunday, February 18. Blake’s grandmother was with him during the audition.

The 24-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, admitted to the judges that he was “anxious” before touching their hearts with his performance of “In Case You Didn’t Know,” a song by Brett Young. Throughout the set, Blake Proehl’s maternal grandfather stood by his side as he played the piano. In the end, the former footballer received a standing ovation from judges Katy Perry, who got goosebumps during his set, and Lionel Richie.
“Damn. Go ahead, Blake Proehl. That was a touchdown.”

Katy Perry was so impressed by his soulful performance that after the audition she ran up to Blake to get his autograph.
